September 22, 2025Be Team is committed to training future healthcare workers and ensuring the medical team at its Cure Hospital in Kabul and beyond are educated and experienced in the most up-to-date procedures and techniques. Recently, two symposiums were held at the hospital.
A total of 24 surgeons representing diverse regions and hospitals across Afghanistan participated in a symposium on Upper GI Surgery with a special focus on Laparoscopic Hiatal Hernia Repair. This event was tailored for general and laparoscopic surgery specialists aiming to enhance their minimally invasive surgical skills.
A group of thirty motivated healthcare professionals from various regions and institutions across Afghanistan participated in a symposium on Uterine Fibroid, with a special focus on Laparoscopic Myomectomy. The participants included OBGYN surgeons and residents who are committed to improving women’s health, as well as representatives from the Afghanistan Medical Council (AMC). The AMC’s participation highlighted the value of structured, skill-based training for healthcare professionals and the ongoing need for collaboration between institutions.
Both sessions were aimed at enhancing the participants’ minimally invasive surgical skills and provided a combination of comprehensive theoretical lectures, hands-on practical sessions, in-depth academic knowledge, and real surgical experience. Doctors had the opportunity to refer patients with relevant conditions to Cure Hospital and actively take part in the surgical procedures to further strengthen their operative expertise.
