March 18, 2025With the support of the Fistula Foundation and as part of its commitment to improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare, Be Team’s Cure Hospital has donated medical equipment valued at $25,000 to the fistula department at the regional hospital in Nangarhar Province. Providing this equipment and training marks a crucial advancement in enhancing healthcare services in the eastern region of Afghanistan.
The donated supplies consist of crucial tools for diagnosing and treating patients affected by obstetric fistula, along with non-medical items intended to enhance the working environment within the department. Following the installation and setup by Cure Hospital’s engineering team, the department is now operational and ready to serve patients.
Public health officials in Nangarhar Province expressed their appreciation for Cure Hospital’s medical support and highlighted the importance and effectiveness of establishing this department. Moreover, Cure Hospital has offered professional training to several local staff members, including obstetricians, midwives, and nurses, ensuring the effective management of the department and the professional care of patients. The hospital intends to maintain its technical and professional collaboration with the department on a continual basis. These initiatives will not only improve healthcare conditions in the area but also significantly benefit the health of mothers and newborns.
